# Android
This lesson will show you the basic set up an Android based authenticator app.
## Open your Authenticator App
First of all, download an authenticator app from the Google Play Store or use one that is provided by your AgileCase Administrator.
Once installed, open the Authenticator app and follow the steps to add an account to set up the app for AgileCase.

To link your account with the app, [you can either scan the QR code on the website or manually enter the code provided on the AgileCase 2FA Settings Page](/user-documentation/agilecase-security/two-factor-authentication.md).
## Generating codes
Once the AgileCase account is added, when you open the 2FA app, you will see 2FA codes being generated.
These can be used when prompted for your 2FA code when you log into AgileCase.
