# Dropdown
The dropdown custom field allows you to create your own dropdown menu with custom options.
The value field sets the value of the item, while the text field only controls the displayed text. The value field is mandatory and must be filled out for the system to function properly.
It is possible to set a value that is different from the title text. This can be useful when creating reports, as it allows you to enter more complex values while retaining a friendly user interface.
