# Timeline View

This lesson will examine the timeline view feature in AgileCase.

## Access timeline view through system settings

To toggle the timeline view feature, navigate to the "Timeline View" page by clicking the appropriate button on the settings menu under "system settings".

The timeline view feature creates a visual timeline of a case, giving a clear representation of the progress of a case.

This is ideal for users making use of the client connect feature who want their clients to be able to clearly see how their case is progressing. However some may find the visuals cluttered and will prefer to disable the feature to ensure that cases contain only the key information.

## Access a case timeline

When timeline view is turned on, an additional "Timeline" tab will be visible in each case. Clicking this tab will display the timeline which will contain all of the milestones and events set for the case type.

To disable timeline view, simple set the slider to the "Off" position.

When timeline view is disabled, the tab will no longer appear and timeline view will not be accessible.
