# Recovering Deleted Items
This lesson will show you how to recover deleted items from the recovery bin.
### Accessing the recovery bin
When you set an object as inactive in AgileCase, it is not permanently deleted. Instead, it is moved to the recovery bin. This prevents essential information from being deleted and ensures that anything accidentally deleted can be recovered.

### Open the Recovery Bin
Click the **Recovery Bin** button in the settings menu under **System Settings**.

### Set the object as active
On the recovery bin page, a range of tabs represent each type of object on the system. Select the appropriate tab, then click the **Set Active** button opposite the object you want to restore.
Once an object is set as active, it will be restored to its place on your system.
